Primary Purpose

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment.
- Any associate degree AND six years of professional experience directly related to the teaching assignment.
- Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area.
- The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

- Expertise in culturally responsive teaching in horticulture, particularly as it relates to the relevance of horticulture to the student’s lives, interests, and communities; demonstrate ability to address equity gaps of racially minoritized groups within horticulture.
Salary Range
$1572.67–$1725.85 per lecture unit rate, $1572.67–$1725.85 per lab parity unit rate, $1258.16–$1380.60 per lab unit rate

This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.
This is a continuous recruitment to fill part‑time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as‑needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part‑time faculty.
