Position OverviewThe Department of Literacy & Reading Education at CSU Fullerton invites applications to its Part‑Time Undergraduate Lecturer Pool. Applicants will be drawn on as new positions become available and must be available on very short notice.
Qualifications- Master’s in education with a specialization in reading or teaching reading from an accredited institution, or a Bachelor’s in any academic discipline with twelve semester units of course work in teaching reading and a Master’s in English, literature, linguistics, applied linguistics, composition, comparative literature, TESL, or psychology.
- Teaching experience using multiple technologies and the ability to teach and develop courses for online instruction.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from intersecting historically marginalized social groups.
- Committed to Just, Equitable, and Inclusive education.
- Demonstrated experience using anti‑racist teaching and social justice pedagogies.
- Community college teaching experience.

Compensation & BenefitsAll part‑time faculty appointments are made as Lecturers under the CSU Collective Bargaining Agreement. Initial appointments are for one semester only. Classification Range: $5,507 – $6,677 per month. Anticipated hiring range: not to exceed $6,221 per month. For benefits, see the university benefits portal.
Appointment & CalendarPart‑time faculty is greatest in Fall and Spring semesters. The Fall term begins late August and ends mid‑December; the Spring term runs from mid‑January to end of May. Rarely are part‑time faculty needed during Summer Session segments.
Performance EvaluationRegular performance evaluations are conducted by the department in accordance with the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070.
