Position Overview
The Department of Philosophy at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part‑Time Lecturer Pool.

This is a pool of part‑time lecturers for the department. Appointments are temporary and typically made just prior to the start of the academic term. Applicants must be available on very short notice.
Required Qualifications- Master’s degree in Philosophy or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to interact and work effectively with a culturally diverse range of students, including first‑generation college students.
- Experience working with diverse populations and fostering an inclusive environment.
- Relevant work experience or professional capabilities that enhance teaching.

After selection as a finalist, three letters of recommendation will be requested.
Appointment & SalaryAll appointments are made as Lecturers under the CSU system and CAFA agreement. Initial appointments are for one semester. Classification range: $5,507 – $6,677 per month. Anticipated hiring range: up to $6,221 per month. Compensation is prorated to units worked and paid in six monthly payments per semester.
Legal & Policy InformationThe holder of the position is a mandated reporter under the California child‑abuse reporting act. Appointment is contingent upon background clearance; ongoing employment requires periodic screening per CSU policy.
