The Senior Accountant provides advanced accounting and analytical expertise to support compliance, financial accuracy, and business decision-making. This role contributes to the development and monitoring of accounting procedures, supports technical US GAAP research, and assists with the resolution of complex accounting matters. A critical component of this role is partnering with cross-functional teams to identify areas of the business that impact financial performance, conduct detailed financial analysis, and provide insights that inform operational decisions.

Employees in this role receive guidance from leadership when needed and independently manage routine responsibilities within established guidelines. Decisions outside of standard practices or involving risk require leader approval.

• Perform monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts and lead research and resolution of discrepancies.
• Support accounting for leases (ASC 842), including accuracy of journal entries and maintenance of related policies and procedures.
• Lead and mentor Business Administrator in their AP/AR duties.
• Prepare supporting schedules for monthly financial reports, audit documentation, and annual statements.
• Assist with preparation of the Annual Financial Report and related schedules.
• Conduct analysis to identify key business areas affecting financial performance and provide recommendations using deep financial expertise.
• Support research, analysis, and documentation of conclusions for technical accounting issues.
• Assist with designing or refining accounting processes to promote best practices and address new business initiatives.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance ERP usage and reporting outputs.
• Serve as a technical accounting resource to peers and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Identify and recommend process improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field) preferred or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five to ten years of experience in an accounting function required.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and influence without authority.
• Demonstrated capability in working cross-functional to understand business operations and translate insights into financial implications.
• Experience working with large ERP systems required;
  Quick Books and Oracle Net Suite preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Capable of working independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to design or enhance accounting processes, controls, or systems.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including financial modeling and data evaluation to identify trends and opportunities.
• Broad knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting controls.
• Experience blending public accounting and private industry preferred.
