We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Instrumentation & Automation Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various instrumentation and automation systems in the oil and gas industry. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and automation systems, including but not limited to control valves, transmitters, analyzers, and PLCs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and implement process improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on equipment and in the field.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in instrumentation and automation technology.
- Train and mentor junior technicians as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree or certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instrumentation and automation maintenance in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of various instrumentation and automation systems and their components.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
