The Senior Manager
- Specialised Products is responsible for leading, managing and controlling all operational activities related to Specialized products/services and to provide support to Islamic Operations and Assets & Liabilities team (Corporate & Retail operation) to ensure efficient functioning of both the Units. The role ensures full adherence to regulatory framework (CBUAE, RERA, SCA), Bank’s internal policies and operational service standards. The incumbent ensures accurate and efficient processing, strong operational controls, effective risk management, and high service quality.
The role also supports the strategic objectives of the Specialised Products (Loan, Deposits, Investments, Gold, Real Estate Escrow) business by ensuring operational readiness, system enhancement, overseeing quality assurance on contracts and continuous process improvement.
Specialized Products Operations Management:
- Manage end-to-end operations for Specialized products
- Ensure accurate processing, timely settlements and adherence to SOPs.
- Maintain effective controls and documentation.
- To carry out work across all transactional types in the range of AED 4M – AED 500M
Escrow Operation Regulatory Process Compliance
- Ensure operational alignment with all Escrow related transactions in line with RERA guidelines, product structures and documentation
- Support Escrow related regulatory review, audit and rectify non-compliance matters.
Other Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with CBUAE regulations, internal policies, AML, risk frameworks and SCA regulation.
- Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting.
Risk and Control Management
- Implement risk controls, monitor incidents, and maintain audit readiness.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for operational issues.
- Lead the business continuity recovery team
Process Improvement & System Enhancement
- Identify improvement opportunities and drive automation initiatives.
- Collaborate with IT for UAT, system enhancements, and new product rollout
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, train, and motivate Specialized Product team.
- Ensure team compliance with policies and product guidelines.
- Provide support to the Bank’s objective of increasing Emiratisation levels by identifying and recommending positions that can be emiratised.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as operational contact for business units, Shariah, compliance, IT, and external parties.
- Ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
The role operates within the framework of the Bank’s Specialized products strategy, CBUAE/RERA/SCA regulations and competitive market dynamics. The Job holder must balance business growth, operational efficiency, and strong control environments while ensuring strict regulatory compliance. The role requires coordination with multiple departments, timely decision-making, and management of complex operational processes. The incumbent works in a highly regulated environment, requiring accuracy, prudence, and strong governance.
EducationBachelors in Finance and Accounting
Experience and SkillsEducation Level
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional certifications advantageous:
Certification in Banking and Finance or specialised products (RERA, SCA).
Experience
- 10–13 years of banking experience, including minimum 5 years in banking operations covering one of the areas in Assets & Liabilities, Investments, Gold, Escrow management.
- Experience in UAE/GCC regulatory environment is mandatory.
- Proven track record in operations management, process improvement, and team leadership.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of banking products, structures and operational processes.
- Excellent understanding of CBUAE regulations, AML frameworks and RERA, SCA regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in core banking systems, operational tools, and MS Office.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- An in-depth understanding of Credit Service Delivery risk in relation to back-office processing
