SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our dynamic finance team within the Automobile industry. The Sr. Accountant will play a key leadership role in overseeing month-end and year-end closing processes, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and supporting strategic decision-making through data-driven insights.

- Lead and manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, including vendor payments, customer invoicing, and collections management.
- Conduct variance analysis and financial forecasting to support budgeting and strategic planning initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements, and internal financial policies across all business units.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, Supply Chain) to provide financial guidance and support business performance.
- Maintain and improve general ledger integrity, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Implement and optimize financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support internal and external audits, providing documentation and responding to inquiries promptly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CFA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role within the Automobile or manufacturing industry.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, general ledger management, and audit processes.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance standards relevant to the automotive sector.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with cost accounting, inventory valuation, and intercompany reconciliations is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments to drive financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
