Second Mate - Part-Time, El-Fujairah, UAE (Preference for Africans/Egyptians)

We are seeking a part-time Second Mate to join our team in El-Fujairah, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The successful candidate will assist with navigation and vessel operations. This position is ideal for an African or Egyptian national who does not require English language proficiency.

The candidate should have a valid STCW 2010 certificate of competency and 2-3 years of experience on merchant navy vessels. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential.

Responsibilities include:

Providing navigation support during voyages

Assisting with watchkeeping, mooring/unmooring, cargo handling, etc.

Monitoring weather and advising on course adjustments

Preparing navigational charts and tracking vessel position

Participating in emergency procedures

Reporting voyage activities

Communicating with shore and other vessels
