The facility is a 89‑bed skilled nursing facility located in Frostburg, Maryland, providing 24/7 skilled nursing, memory care, respite care, hospice care, rehabilitation, and more. Position is full‑time Monday‑Friday day shift with potential evening and weekend availability.

In accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines, the Activities Director will plan and implement a therapeutic recreation program that improves the quality of life for all residents.
Duties and Responsibilities- Plan, create and execute engaging programs for all days of the week, including Sundays and holidays. Person‑centered activities are designed to meet residents’ needs (exercise and dance, group programs, individual pursuits, sensory activities, clubs, special interests, spiritual and religious activities, community outings).
- Prepare a monthly calendar of activities and distribute to residents, staff, and families.
- Supervise activity support staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and termination.
- Ensure all documentation requirements are met and write Person‑Centered Care Plans, assessments, and progress notes.
- Participate in care‑plan meetings and any other meeting directed by the Director of Nursing.
- Develop and maintain a rapport with all departments involved in the care plan to ensure a team effort in developing a comprehensive plan of care.
- Plan and conduct resident council meetings, take minutes, and address registrant concerns.
- Organize and coordinate special community outings with residents’ interests in mind.
- Arrange regular entertainment, parties, seasonal programs, and special events.
- Supervise the volunteer program for the facility.
- Adhere to all facility and corporate policies.
