Warren County is seeking highly motivated and skilled candidates to fill the position of Part‑Time Maintenance Worker.

This position is responsible for semiskilled work in a variety of parks, landscape and utilities construction, maintenance, and repair projects; occasionally operates non-specialized equipment in connection with manual tasks, does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision.

• Prepares athletic fields, seeds, fertilizes and aerates fields, plants grass, trees, and flowers
• Picks up paper and debris on public property, streets, and in park areas
• Performs other park maintenance duties, paints County buildings and facilities
• Operates dump trucks, mowers, chain saws, pumps, mixers, trimmers, tractors, and similar equipment
• Loads and unloads stone, gravel, dirt, and playground equipment
• Assists with equipment maintenance and repair
• Performs custodial, building and grounds maintenance work
• Assists with snow removal and performs related tasks as required

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and possession of an appropriate driver’s license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia is required.
