The Therapist II supports Valley Health's Mission and Vision by providing high-quality services in various rehab settings. They collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, respond to physician referrals, assess patient needs, and deliver discipline-specific interventions to improve safety and independence.
Responsibilities include maintaining professional competence, identifying educational needs, and seeking learning opportunities. Clinical settings may include acute, inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, women's health, and specialty care such as vestibular, lymphedema, aquatics, vision, and wound care.
Educational requirements include a Post Graduate Certificate, Bachelor's, or Master's in Speech Therapy, with completion of CI credentialing or equivalent within one year of hire.
Minimum of five years of clinical experience (10,400 hours) is required.
Licensure in Virginia or West Virginia, and BLS certification from the American Heart Association are mandatory before completing orientation.
Qualifications involve basic computer skills, age-specific competencies, and proficiency in discipline-specific interventions, with opportunities for advancement based on performance evaluations.
The position is classified as exempt under FLSA, full-time, and falls within the healthcare provider industry.
