Join Holcim UK as a Quarry Manager and lead night‑shift operations at our flagship limestone quarry.

As the statutory 8.1(d) certified manager you will oversee night‑time processing, rail movements, maintenance and contractor activities, ensuring full statutory coverage and acting as the senior decision‑maker outside normal day shifts.

• Certify and maintain Statutory 8.1(d) compliance.
• Supervise night‑shift quarry and rail operations Monday to Friday, 21:00–06:30.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and contractor performance during overnight hours.
• Lead operational decision‑making under pressure to guarantee safety and productivity.
• Manage operational budgets, asset care and production targets.
• Implement health, safety and environmental controls in line with quarry regulations.
• Communicate effectively with operational teams, contractors and senior stakeholders.

• Valid Statutory 8.1(d) certificate or commitment to obtain it.
• Demonstrable experience in quarry or heavy‑industrial operations, ideally in a supervisory or management capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of quarry regulations, health & safety legislation and environmental controls.
• Confident autonomous decision‑making under pressure with visible leadership.
• Excellent organizational, detail‑focused and proactive risk‑management skills.
• Clear and effective communication with teams, contractors and senior stakeholders.
