Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Regional Driver to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods within a designated region. The ideal candidate will possess keen attention to detail, strong driving skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting strict delivery deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Operate commercial vehicles in accordance with company policies, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any vehicle issues promptly.
- Plan and execute delivery routes within the assigned region to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Safely load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and rest periods.
- Communicate regularly with the dispatch team regarding schedules, delays, or any issues encountered.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the vehicle.
- Use GPS and tracking systems to optimize routes and guarantee on-time deliveries.
- Deliver excellent customer service, representing the company professionally and courteously.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized, both inside and outside.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CDL license with a clean driving record.
- At least 2 years of experience as a commercial driver, preferably in a regional driving role.
- Strong understanding of state and federal commercial driving regulations.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of safe loading and unloading procedures.
- Ability to operate various types of commercial vehicles such as box trucks, semi-trucks, and flatbeds.
- Experience with GPS and vehicle tracking systems.
- Capability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- Customer-oriented with a professional and courteous demeanor.
