Account Executive

Our client, a growing employee benefits organization, is seeking an experienced Account Executive to support and grow a portfolio of mid‑market employer groups. This is a highly visible, client‑facing role focused on relationship management, renewal strategy, and business growth.

The Account Executive will serve as a primary point of contact for clients and will collaborate closely with internal service teams to deliver comprehensive benefits solutions. This position offers the opportunity to inherit an existing book of business while also building and expanding long‑term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and retain a portfolio of employer groups while driving growth through renewals and new business opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary client‑facing lead for assigned accounts, delivering a high level of professionalism and service.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of client relationships, including onboarding, renewals, and ongoing strategy discussions.
  • Coordinate with internal partners such as account management, financial analysis, eligibility, and benefits support teams.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and open enrollment sessions.
  • Act as a subject matter resource for complex benefit programs, including fully insured and self‑funded medical plans.
  • Serve as the ???go-to??? resource for new and renewal business.
  • Support and mentor team members as the book of business grows.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in employee benefits brokerage, supporting mid‑market and/or large employer groups.
  • Strong knowledge of self‑funded and fully insured medical plans.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships from onboarding through renewal.
  • Demonstrated success in retaining, growing, and expanding a book of business.
  • Highly polished, client‑facing communication skills with strong presentation ability.
  • Ability to lead client discussions with executive‑level professionalism.
  • Experience collaborating with cross‑functional internal teams.
  • Comfortable supporting clients across multiple regions.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and enrollment activities.
