Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Open and close the store in absence of management, including system start‑ups, cash handling and floor readiness.
  • Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe and provide change as requested.
  • Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Hold store keys to open and close without management as required.
  • Assist and coach team members with vendor ordering, including opening the backdoor for deliveries.
  • Register all sales on the assigned cash register, including errors, price verifications and voids.
  • Help manager review order exceptions and assist with reverse logistics.
  • Assist manager evaluate and develop displays, including promotional and seasonal merchandise.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and on‑hand quantities across departments and stockroom.
  • Ensure the Outdate program is followed with team members.
  • Price basic department items daily, ensure proper signage and complete any additional pricing tasks.
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts and ledgers.
  • Help maintain a clean, neat and orderly store condition, requesting repairs as required.
  • Separate food items and manage stock rotation using first‑in, first‑out method.
  • Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
  • Assist at pharmacy out window as requested.
  • Comply with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
  • Conduct bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
  • Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Customer Experience
  • Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
  • Model and share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
Operations
  • Assist manager or assistant manager with order exceptions on release day and reverse logistics.
  • Assist manager or assistant manager evaluate and develop displays and complete resets and revisions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts; maintain accuracy of on‑hand quantities across departments and stockroom.
  • Assist with ensuring the Outdate program is followed.
  • Assist with bookkeeping activities, including cash report, cash counts, ledgers and bill payment as necessary.
  • Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean and orderly store condition.
  • Assist with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies.
  • Define working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
  • Assist at pharmacy out window as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local laws related to regulated products.
  • Conduct bag checks before leaving the store.
  • Comply with all company policies and maintain respectful coworker relationships.
Training & Personal Development
  • Attend training and complete PPLs requested by manager.
Communications
  • Serve as liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when management is absent.
  • Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Consideration of applicants with arrest and conviction records.
  • Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
