Cook 3 PM – The Apron

Omni PGA is seeking a Cook 3 PM to join the The Apron kitchen team. The Cook 3 will prepare food according to menu specifications in a timely and safe manner, work and communicate effectively with kitchen staff, and contribute to delivering an outstanding culinary experience for guests at Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa.

• Prepare and cook food and perform related culinary functions.
• Demonstrate strong culinary skills with intermediate level proficiency.
• Complete tasks with minimal supervision, following Omni and Chef standards.
• Apply traditional knife skills and maintain consistent application in the kitchen.
• Prepare soups, sauces, and other items with minimal supervision.
• Prioritize, organize, and follow-through to meet production schedules.
• Maintain proper food safety and sanitation practices.
• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and prep lists.
• Perform opening and closing procedures accurately.
• Ensure food quality and timing meet guest expectations.
• Communicate assistance needs to Sous chefs during busy periods.

• Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and various cooking methods (braising, sauté, baking, roasting, poaching, grilling, steaming, frying).
• Fundamental knife skills.
• Ability to read and follow basic recipes for hot and cold items.
• Basic math skills for recipe and measurement accuracy.
• Prior experience in a high‑volume hotel, upscale hotel, resort, or restaurant setting (minimum 1 year).
• Serve Safe certification preferred.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Professional culinary attire and appearance.
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds, as well as stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions for entire shifts.
