Job Title: Substitute Nurse

Department: Part Time

Reports To: Director of Health Services

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary

Legacy Christian Academy is looking for qualified substitutes for the Health Clinic. Must be CPR Certified, Certified and Licensed Registered Nurse (RN), State licensing requirements must be met and maintained.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education / Experience
  • Minimum of five (2) years’ experience
  • CPR Certified
  • Certified and Licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
  • State licensing requirements must be met and maintained.
Certifications
  • BLS Instruction
Language Ability

Ability to communicate clearly in written and oral expression; ability to relate effectively with trustees, school personnel, parents, students, and other school constituent groups and individuals. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence.

Reasoning Ability

Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have demonstrated competency with basic word processing, and School Management Software. Ability to use basic office equipment.

  • Have a working knowledge of and follow LCA’s Employee Handbook, Parent & Student Handbook.
  • Sign and live by the school’s Lifestyle Statement and Moral Integrity Statement as a condition for employment and continued employment in this ministry;
  • Maintain confidentiality in the operation of the health clinic and the school;
  • Refrain from unwholesome talk, including profanity, slang (language widely used and accepted, but not appropriate for godliness) or jokes that may be offensive;
  • Maintain a personal appearance that models cleanliness, modesty, and good taste consistent with school policy
Supervisory Responsibilities

Employee is responsible for the safe supervision of students both inside and outside the health clinic including, but not limited to the lunchroom, hallways, playground, and carline.
