Work hours:
Full Time – 36 Hours/Week;
Days 7:00 pm–7:00 am (Three 12‑hour shifts per week). Weekend shifts required.
- Average 120 deliveries per month

- Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
- BSN (Preferred)
- 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
- 2 years of labor and delivery experience as a registered nurse (Preferred)
- RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required)
- NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required)
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days (Required)
- IFM – Intermediate Fetal Monitoring 6 Months (Required upon hire)
- NRPA – Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required)
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Required
- Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assess the patient
- Plan the care of the patient
- Intervene as appropriate
- Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporate age‑specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
- Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others’ need for information
- Maintain continuity of patient care inter‑shift, inter‑hospital, and while expediting out‑of‑hospital transfers.
