Position: RN (Registered Nurse)—Intensive Care Unit (ICU) —Full Time Nights (7P-7A)

RN (Registered Nurse)—Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Full Time Nights (7P-7A)

Texas Health Frisco – 12400 Dallas Parkway, Frisco, TX 75033

Work schedule:

Full time Nights; 7 PM – 7 AM, every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Department Highlights

• We have outgrown our initial needs and are expanding critical care service lines rapidly.
• 14‑bed General Acute Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
• Swing‑bed unit based on acuity level.
• Experience with a variety of patients – CRRT, IABP (Balloon Pump), Post Cardiac‑Arrest, EVD, post CCL, ARDS, prone therapy, Vasoactive drips, and step‑down patients.

Here’s What You Will Need

• Diploma of Nursing or Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
• 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program required.
• Two (2) or more years’ current experience as an Acute ICU nurse is strongly preferred.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
• BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support – within 90 days of hire required.
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention – within 30 days required.

• The professional nurse demonstrates an appreciation of unique meanings by active listening and exemplifying a non‑judgmental attitude.
• The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
