RN (Registered Nurse)—Intensive Care Unit (ICU) – Full Time Nights (7P-7A)

Texas Health Frisco – 12400 Dallas Parkway, Frisco, TX 75033
Work schedule:
Full time Nights; 7 PM – 7 AM, every other weekend and holiday requirements.
- We have outgrown our initial needs and are expanding critical care service lines rapidly.
- 14‑bed General Acute Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Swing‑bed unit based on acuity level.
- Experience with a variety of patients – CRRT, IABP (Balloon Pump), Post Cardiac‑Arrest, EVD, post CCL, ARDS, prone therapy, Vasoactive drips, and step‑down patients.
- Diploma of Nursing or Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
- 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program required.
- Two (2) or more years’ current experience as an Acute ICU nurse is strongly preferred.
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support – within 90 days of hire required.
- CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention – within 30 days required.
- The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs.
- The professional nurse demonstrates an appreciation of unique meanings by active listening and exemplifying a non‑judgmental attitude.
- The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
