Layne’s Chicken Fingers is a fast-growing, cult-favorite chicken brand known for bold flavors, craveable sauces, and a strong sense of community. As we continue expanding in Salt Lake City, we’re looking for a local, relationship-driven marketer who lives and breathes community connection.
Role OverviewThe Field Marketing & Community Partnerships position is responsible for building authentic, long-term relationships within the Salt Lake City community to drive brand awareness, trial, and local loyalty. This role is highly hands-on and outward facing, focused on partnerships with schools, places of worship, youth sports organizations, local businesses, and community groups.
This is not a desk job — it’s a people-first role for someone who loves showing up, building connections, and making Layne’s a recognizable and trusted local brand.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommunity Partnerships & Outreach
- Establish and maintain relationships with:
- Local schools (PTAs, teachers, administrators)
- Youth sports leagues and teams
- Churches, temples, mosques, and other places of worship
- Local businesses and neighborhood organizations
- Nonprofits and community groups
- Identify partnership opportunities such as fundraisers, spirit nights, catering opportunities, sponsor ships
- Serve as the primary local brand ambassador for Layne’s in Salt Lake City
Relationship Management
- Build trust-based, long-term partnerships rather than one-off transactions
- Maintain a local contact database and partnership pipeline
- Follow up consistently to grow repeat engagement and referrals
Local Activations & Events
- Plan and execute grassroots marketing initiatives including:
- School and youth sports fundraisers
- Community nights and local give-backs
- Grand openings, store celebrations, and pop-ups
- Tabling, sampling, and local event participation
- Coordinate with store teams to ensure seamless execution and strong in-store experience
Brand Representation
- Ensure Layne’s brand values, voice, and hospitality standards are reflected in all local interactions
- Collect community feedback and insights to share with the broader marketing team
- Support local social media and influencer efforts as needed
- 1–2 years of experience in field marketing, community marketing, brand activation, or local partnerships
- Strong existing ties or familiarity with the Salt Lake City community is a major plus
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends as needed for events and community functions
- Highly organized, proactive, and self-motivated
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Layne’s is recognized as an active, supportive local brand in Salt Lake City
- Strong, repeat partnerships with schools, youth sports, and community organizations
- Consistent flow of local events, fundraisers, and community activations
- Increased local awareness and traffic of Layne’s in Utah
