Platform Engineer II

* Subject Matter Expert for on-premise payments platforms as relating to Settlement, reconcilliation, and operational aspects of CDS settlement platforms.
* Assist in developing and troubleshooting transaction flows as related to settlement and reconcilliation.
* Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to transaction processing and settlement.
* Build automation and checkpoints to proactively monitor system health and reduce manual intervention.
* Participate in platform upgrades, patching, and configuration management.
* Contribute to automation efforts for deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks.
* Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
* Ensure compliance with internal security policies and financial industry standards.
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with 4+ years of experience or advanced degree with commensurate level of work experience
* Advanced programming skills in multiple languages (Python, Java, Go, etc.)
* Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure and services
* Proficiency in designing and managing Kubernetes clusters
* Strong understanding of distributed systems and networking
* Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
* Ability to optimize system performance and troubleshoot complex issues
* Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
