The Role
As a CBRE Lease Administration Director, you will provide strategic management to the department responsible for lease administration services for a telecommunications client. This job is part of the Lease Administration. The department is responsible for portfolio administration, daily operations, and managing relationships with internal and external customers.
What You’ll Do- Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor training and development. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee recruiting and hiring.
- Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross‑train staff.
- Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Prepare, track, and adhere to the regional platform budget.
- Assist in the proposal and negotiation of Scope of Services agreements with high‑profile clients. Assess needs and prepare a strategic plan.
- Prepare high‑value responses to requests for information, qualification, and proposals.
- Verify the lease administration service summary and lease audit playbook are up to date.
- Coordinate and prepare educational programs to train staff and provide a clear career path.
- Review and enforce standard service agreements as approved by internal legal counsel.
- Apply robust knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and key drivers that impact departmental and cross‑functional performance.
- Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and colleagues to take action guided by organizational plans.
- Negotiate with external partners and vendors to reach common goals.
- Identify and solve multi‑dimensional, complex operational and organizational problems, leveraging appropriate resources.
- Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the discipline.
- Travel expected 20%.
- Global experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; 8‑12 years of relevant experience. A combination of experience and education is considered.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, performance appraisal, and retention.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information while conveying performance expectations and handling problems.
- Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple department results.
- In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Proficiency in math; able to calculate percentages, fractions, and financial‑related calculations.
