AWS Cloud Infrastructure Architect

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Infrastructure Architect to lead a large-scale migration initiative for UST clients. The objective is to transition a significant volume of EC2 workloads from shared tenancy to dedicated AWS hosts ensuring financial optimization, resiliency, and automation. This role requires deep expertise in AWS architecture, containerization strategies, and migration planning along with strong collaboration skills to work with UST and cloud service provider teams.

Key Responsibilities Migration Strategy & Planning
  • Define architecture for migrating high-volume EC2 workloads from shared tenancy to dedicated hosts.
  • Develop placement strategies, resiliency models, and burst capacity plans.
  • Collaborate with cloud service providers and UST leadership to finalize assumptions and scope.
Automation & Tooling
  • Design and implement automation frameworks using Terraform runbooks and Dev Ops pipelines.
  • Leverage existing Terraform assets and integrate with AWS services for seamless migration.
Implementation Leadership
  • Oversee execution of migration across multiple AWS accounts including large volumes of containerized and non-containerized workloads.
  • Ensure compliance with client security and governance standards.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as a technical liaison between UST cloud service providers and client teams.
  • Participate in discovery sessions and clarify migration scope with client stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience

AWS Expertise
  • Strong knowledge of EC2 Dedicated Hosts, VPC, IAM, and networking.
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS) and migration strategies.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Proficiency in Terraform and automation frameworks.
Dev Ops & CI/CD
  • Hands‑on experience with Dev Ops tools and practices for cloud deployments.
Architecture & Design
  • Ability to design scalable, resilient, and cost‑optimized AWS architectures.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Proven experience working in multi‑vendor environments and leading cross‑functional teams.
Nice-to-Have
  • Familiarity with client‑specific Kubernetes solutions.
  • Prior experience in large‑scale AWS migrations with fixed‑price engagements.
Project Highlights
  • Scope: Migration of containerized workloads from shared to dedicated hosts.
