Director of Banquets – Requirements & Qualifications• 3–5+ years as a Director of Banquets in a 4- or 5-star hotel or resort
• Proven leadership of 100,000+ sq. ft. of event space
• Oversight of 60+ banquet associates and leaders
• Strong hotel or resort banquet background required
• Experience with upscale banquet and catering operations
• Expertise in plated, buffet, and station service
• Deep understanding of steps of service for high-level plated events
• Strong client interaction skills with meeting planners
• Experience executing events in outdoor, golf, and non-traditional event spaces
• Strong financial acumen, including labor forecasting and cost controls
• Collaborative, people-focused leadership style
Director of Banquets – What You’ll Do• Direct all banquet operations across indoor, outdoor, golf, and entertainment venues
• Lead and develop a team of 60+ banquet professionals
• Oversee 100,000+ sq. ft. of event space with multiple concurrent programs
• Ensure flawless execution of 4- and 5-star plated, buffet, and reception services
• Partner with culinary, convention services, and sales teams to deliver exceptional client experiences
• Maintain strong labor forecasting, scheduling accuracy, and financial performance
• Uphold the highest standards of communication, compliance, and operational excellence
• Bring creativity and innovation to large-scale event execution
