Collin Springs, a 72‑bed behavioral health hospital in McKinney, TX, is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As a PRN Outpatient Therapist, you will play a vital role in making communities healthier by providing high‑quality care to patients with psychological, emotional, or substance abuse challenges.
How You’ll Contribute- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients about psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems
- Display active involvement in the treatment planning process
- Provide family counseling sessions to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and outside referral sources
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff
- Actively communicate with team members and provide updates on treatment and length of stay issues
- Complete accurate assessments and appropriate documentation in a timely, accurate, and complete manner
- Demonstrate crisis intervention and de‑escalation skills; act as a team member during crisis situations to ensure patient safety
- Assist with care coordination department requests when needed
- Maintain confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, and documentation standards in accordance with TJC, Medicaid, and federal regulations
- Support discharge, transition, and after‑care planning processes

- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or equivalent (required)
- Current clinical or social work license in Texas
- CPR and CPR certification within 30 days of employment
- Prior experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients
