We are currently looking for an Escrow Officer for the Financial Service Title – Escrow Department. The right candidate will be responsible for the timely completion of real estate closings (escrow) as directed by the Branch Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform all tasks of Escrow Receptionist, Technician, and Assistant Escrow Officer
  • Complete routine residential resale, refinance, or builder escrow transactions
  • Prepare escrow instructions and amendments when applicable
  • Deposit escrow funds, prepare disbursements, and balance escrow accounts
  • Perform general office functions as required
  • Train Escrow Technicians and Assistant Escrow Officers
  • Solicit escrow and title business from Realtors, lenders, builders, sellers, and buyers
  • Build relationships through professional community groups to promote the company’s goodwill and future business
  • Conduct closings with customers
  • Assist Senior Escrow Officers as directed
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
  • Maintain escrow and title business in compliance with company policies and regulations
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervise a number of employees in the Escrow Department. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, rewarding and disciplining staff, and resolving complaints in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications
  • Education and/or Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university, or four to six years of related experience, or equivalent combination
    • Notary public
    • Knowledge of telephone etiquette, basic accounting/bookkeeping, real estate/escrow/title terminology, English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
    • Proficiency with Century Title automation system and keyboard usage
  • Abilities
    • Organize and prioritize tasks
    • Read, understand, and carry out verbal and written instructions
    • Recognize and solve problems independently
    • Request assistance when needed
    • Operate office equipment and remain flexible between tasks
