Speech​/Debate​/MUN​/Mock Trial Coach

• Coaches must be punctual and available for all assigned hours (Tuesday after school; Sunday afternoon).
• Our classes are taught in two- to two-and-a-half-hour shifts. The work officially starts after onboarding and is guaranteed through the end of the semester; on-boarding and preparation starts as soon as you're hired.
• Coaches must have classroom coaching experience and supply references who can attest to that experience. Please highlight this experience on your resume.
• Coaches must take NFHS certification courses related to
  
  A) protecting students from abuse,
  
  B) speaking to parents, and
  
  C) helping students with mental health concerns and handle all other on-boarding procedures in an expedient manner.
• Coaches must have transportation to our Frisco, Texas location and technology to share courses from our digital learning management system with our students. Familiarity with Google Classroom is a huge plus.
• Coaches may be required to submit to a background check in accordance with the FCRA and other relevant laws.
• Coaches must follow all relevant state and federal guidelines concerning public safety during the pandemic.
• Coaches must embody Modern Brain's core values of empathy, expertise, excellence, and equity.
• Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

• Modern Brain offers both private lessons and classes to K-12 students in speech, debate, mock trial, model united nations, economics, creative writing, philosophy, role-playing games, and more. We have served thousands of families.
• Our coaches have mentored national champions in speech, debate, mock trial, ethics bowl, and other communication contests at the elementary, middle, high school, college, and professional levels. In the  season alone, we had more champions, runners-up, and finalists at tournaments like the middle school Tournament of Champions and California State Championship than the next two best teams combined.
• Our students have earned over 1,400 speech/debate/mock trial/MUN championships since August of 2020--and over 6,000 awards. Our internal professional learning network is second to none. All coaches are provided with vetted lesson plans.
