Reports To Assistant Manager - Natatorium/Head Coach

To instruct and demonstrate proper swimming skills with an emphasis toward competitive swimming.

• Education/Certification
  :
  Minimum age 16
• Special Knowledge/Skills
  :
  Must exhibit a love for working with children;
  Flexible, positive, and able to try new ideas;
  Ability to work evenings during the school year;
  Ability to work either mornings, evenings, or both during the summer season;
  Maintain a professional, mature, and positive teaching style while instructing
• Experience
  :
  Experience in teaching swimming classes and individuals of various ages and ability levels
• Competitive Swimming Experience Preferred
• One year of customer service preferred

• Adhere to the established learn-to-swim curriculum.
• Create an educational, safe, and inviting experience for all participants.
• Evaluate all students in their assigned class.
• Update skill levels through the online registration system.
• Teach a variety of swim skill levels.
• Provide for the health and safety of participants, including ensuring that all teaching and practice areas are free of hazards and that materials and equipment are safe.
• Communicate with parents on a regular basis.
• Enforce all aquatic facility policies, rules, and regulations.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Exposure to high humidity and potential chemical hazards in pool water. Moderate lifting; crouch/kneeling; sitting/standing. Work on slippery surfaces.
