The Vice President, Learning & Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and leading a comprehensive learning strategy focused on sales performance, product knowledge, and partner engagement. This role will develop and deliver curriculum for both internal sales teams, and external broker partners, ensuring a deep understanding of mortgage products and services, including Non-QM and specialty offerings. The VP will serve as a strategic leader focused on improving productivity, partner engagement, and revenue outcomes through effective training, data-driven insights, and scalable learning programs.
Job Duties
- Design, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with company growth andsales objectives.
- Develop and deliver structured sales curriculum for internal sales team and external broker partners, including onboarding, advanced product education, and ongoing professional development.
- Translate complex mortgage product guidelines, including
Non-QMand specialty products, into clear, effective training content that supports sales execution. - Facilitate engaging live and virtual training sessions, webinars, workshops, and presentations for diverse audiences.
- Create scalable learning programs, including virtual training modules, certification programs, playbooks, and training resources.
- Establish and monitor KPIs,SLAs, and performance metrics to measure training effectiveness, partner engagement, and ROI.
- Analyze data from training programs, partner engagement, webinars, and sales performance toidentifytrends, gaps, and opportunities.
- Develop executive-level reporting dashboards to communicate training effectiveness, partner engagement, and business impact.
- Partner cross-functionally with
Sales, Underwriting, Compliance, Credit, Marketing, and Executive Leadership to align training with company initiatives and product strategy. - Design and implement partner feedback mechanisms, including Customer Success surveys, to measure satisfaction, engagement, and business impact.
- Support broker engagement strategies through education, enablement, and relationship-building initiatives.

- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to training staff, and future Leaning & Development team members.
- Establish performance goals, KPIs, and accountability measures for direct reports.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with company values and business objectives.
Remote:
This role is fully remote and performed from the employee's home or another approved off-site location. The company provides essential equipment such as computer, headset and webcam. A reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace are expected.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience inwholesale and/or correspondent mortgage, with significant exposure to sales, product training, or sales leadership.
- 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Sales Enablement, Training, or related leadership role.
- Deep knowledge of mortgage products, including
Non-QM, agency, and specialty lending products. - Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective sales training programs for both internal and external audiences.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Proven ability to use data and metrics to drive decision-making, measure effectiveness, and present results to Executive Leadership.
- Experience developing KPIs, SLAs, dashboards, and executive-level reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized, strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities.
- Experience building a Learning & Development function or training program from the ground up.
- Previously leadership experience overseeing Partner Success, Customer Success, or Sales Enablement teams.
