Overview

The Manager, Sourcing is responsible for leading and executing the strategic sourcing activities for all MRO (Maintenance Repair and Operations) categories estimated at $50-60M in annual spend. This role focuses on reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) and optimizing supplier performance by developing effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans in collaboration with key business stakeholders.

This role resides in either our Frisco, TX or Burlington, MA office and reports to the Sr. Manager of Indirect Procurement.

Responsibilities
  • Create an environment of strategic collaboration with suppliers and translate business requirements into detailed specifications to support category sourcing processes.
  • Develop and update financial savings models with support from Finance.
  • Help prepare the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the categories under their responsibility.
  • Conduct industry deep-dive analyses to provide proactive category insights.
  • Develop and execute category strategies with key business partners to address business needs following the KDP Strategic Category Management framework.
  • Define best-in-class sourcing procurement processes utilizing Ariba (e.g., RFQ/RFP/RFI, online auctions, collaborative sourcing, multi-event negotiations, etc.).
  • Develop and foster long-term relationships with suppliers.
  • Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop and implement a robust TCO program to deliver AOP targets.
  • Help resolve and identify solutions for systematic issues (e.g., invoice issues, pricing conditions).
Compliance and Risk
  • Be accountable for compliance on Corporate Environmental Sustainability and Regulatory efforts representing sourcing area.
  • Risk Management:

    Ensure supplier risk is proactively understood and continuity business plans are in place for any potential unpreventable interruption in supply.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with applicable federal, regional, and local food safety regulations as required.
  • Influence stakeholders on procurement policies, as well as legal and financial requirements in making a purchase.
  • Execute legal contracting and contract administration in Ariba as required by policy.
Analytics and Communications
  • Be an expert with analytical tools (e.g., Excel) to draw conclusions and make recommendations from large data sets.
  • Be proficient at oral and written communication to explain complex ideas to a wide audience.
  • Be an expert in MS Word, MS Project, and MS Power.
Stakeholder Management
  • Be able to build strong customer relationships and interact with all levels of the organization, from senior executives to middle management.
  • Be a strong team player with cross-functional groups and have a collaborative management style to build internal and external partnerships.
  • Have a passion to drive continuous improvement and be able to lead small cross-functional teams for share or cost reduction goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or related area from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of strategic procurement experience with complex Manufacturing/Supply Chain organizations.
  • 5+ years of SAP/Ariba or similar ERP experience.
Rewards and Benefits
  • Salary Range: $96,800 - $125,000. Actual placement within the range may vary based on experience, skills, and other factors.

  • Annual bonus based on performance and eligibility.
