Our client is hiring for a Procurement Specialist in the Frisco area. This is a hybrid position and supports sourcing activities by organizing and interpreting large sets of market, spend, and specification data. This role works closely with category managers and cross-functional partners to ensure accurate information, smooth sourcing events, and effective supplier interactions within Indirect Procurement.
Responsibilities- Gather, clean, and consolidate category data from internal systems and external suppliers to provide clear insights for sourcing strategies.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities by reviewing spend patterns, material specifications, benchmark data, and should-cost analyses.
- Support sourcing events by managing supplier lists, preparing specifications, assembling pricing tools, and coordinating all RFX requirements.
- Produce post-event evaluations, including pricing comparisons, scoring summaries, and award scenario analysis using sourcing platforms.
- Maintain and update dashboards and spend reports to track category performance.
- Monitor the sourcing timeline to ensure deadlines and business needs are met.
- Facilitate confidentiality agreements and coordinate with suppliers before and during sourcing events.
- Assist in resolving supplier delivery issues and invoice discrepancies.
- Participate in process-improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong digital and analytical skills; familiarity with systems such as Ariba, Snowflake, Beeline, SAP, IBM Cognos, Celonis, Tableau/Power BI is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communicator with solid problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to follow established processes and safety standards.
