Sr Accountant

Location: Frisco, TX (hybrid 3 days/week in office)

Duration: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

This role is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting systems and processes. The Senior Accountant will manage journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards. The position also includes reviewing staff-level deliverables and supporting ongoing process improvements across the accounting function.

• Record journal entries and reconcile complex general ledger accounts
• Execute monthly close activities and perform detailed variance analysis
• Ensure accounting records are prepared, maintained, and explained accurately and timely
• Analyze and manage large volumes of transactional data
• Review work submitted by Accountants and provide guidance and oversight
• Identify opportunities to enhance processes and strengthen internal controls
• Produce accurate ad-hoc reporting from multiple data sources
• Validate and interpret financial results and present findings clearly
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives and system enhancements
• Assess and document the accounting impact of new programs or system changes

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting (required)
• 3–7 years of relevant accounting experience working for "Big 4" or a mid-sized account firm in Auditing, or Assurance
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
• Advanced understanding of ERP systems and related sub-modules
• Ability to manage large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights
