An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Nurse Associate to join our dedicated and compassionate nursing team in Trauma & Orthopaedics as permanent and secondment post. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is committed to delivering safe, high-quality, and person‑centred care.
As a valued member of our team, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation of Team Nursing, taking responsibility for your allocated patients and ensuring care is delivered to the highest standard.
About You- You will be a Registered Nurse Associate (NMC registered).
- You will have excellent communication and organisational skills.
- You will be a team player, flexible in your approach, and able to work effectively in a busy environment.
- You will have a passion for delivering exceptional care and supporting others to achieve the same.

Main duties of the job- Providing excellent patient care and ensuring that patients always come first.
- Undertaking a range of delegated clinical care duties within your level of competency, acting on your own initiative to deliver agreed care plans.
- Supporting the implementation and maintenance of Team Nursing within the clinical area.
- Accurately recording and reflecting care provided in the electronic patient record system (EPIC).
- Mentoring and supporting new care assistants as they complete the Care Certificate.
- Ensuring patients receive compassionate, high‑quality care and an excellent patient experience, with respect for their customs, religious beliefs, and personal preferences.

Person specification QualificationsEssential criteria
- Registered nursing associate on the NMC register.
- GCSE grade A‑C.
Desirable criteria
- Level 3 Health related qualification.
Essential criteria
- Experience of working in teams under appropriate supervision as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience of providing and receiving complex, sensitive information.
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of involvement in support / development of less experienced staff.
Essential criteria
- IT knowledge e.g. Word and Excel.
- Communication skills.
- Ability to organise and prioritise.
- Ability to support, supervise, assess and act as a role model to nursing associate students, other learners and health care support workers as required within the clinical setting.
- Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation.
- Ability to deal with nonroutine and unpredictable nature of workload and individual patient contact.
