A Senior Night Coach at Super Care provides confidence and calm during the night shift. You'll support children with learning disabilities who may struggle with sleep or wake unsettled, and you'll guide Night Coaches in how to respond with dignity, patience, and safety. Though you're not leading the shift, your experience makes you the person others turn to. You'll help the team stay resilient, support children through difficult moments, and keep the home running smoothly overnight.
This home is rated "Outstanding" by Ofsted and is looking to maintain that record.
- Provide hands‑on care during the night, including hygiene prompting and supervision.
- Respond calmly to aggression or distress, modelling low‑arousal approaches.
- Support Night Coaches, sharing advice and experience.
- Keep accurate records and support the handover process.
We need someone who can stay steady in the face of challenges, while also nurturing confidence in newer colleagues.
- At least 2 years of SEN or residential childcare experience.
- Level 3 Diploma (or working towards it).
- Skilled in behaviour support, patient, and reliable.
- Someone who can bring warmth and humour even during the night.
- Salary 20% above sector average
- Rota: 22:00-08:00, 2 nights on / 2 nights off
- 36 days of training per year, including SEN and behaviour management
