Financial Controller

Location: Mytchett

We are seeking a fully Qualified Accountant to join a team. The role will involve you working with the CFO taking ownership and overseeing a small finance team. Fully office based, duties will include: A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) to lead financial operations and strategy for our growing business. This is a senior role with responsibility for reporting, compliance, and business partnering across multiple functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Reporting:
Manage GL/TB reviews, statutory accounts, and monthly/quarterly/annual closings under UK GAAP, IFRS, and FRS 102. Budgeting & Forecasting:
Drive annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning. Financial Analysis:
Deliver insights on pricing, market trends, and strategic decisions. Compliance & Audit:
Ensure adherence to HMRC, Companies House, and regulatory standards; lead audits and maintain strong auditor relationships. Treasury & Cash Management:
Oversee cash flow, FX exposure, and working capital optimization. Leadership & Strategy:
Develop internal controls, mentor team members, and contribute to financial strategy. Process Improvement & Digital Transformation:
Implement automation tools (Oracle, BI dashboards) and streamline finance processes. Business Partnering:
Collaborate with commercial, R&D, supply chain, and support M&A evaluations.

About You:

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 10 years’ experience (minimum 3 years post-qualification). Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and FRS 102. Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
