We are seeking an EIR Environmental Scientist 1 to join our Fridley, MD team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities- Assist with and, after training, independently conduct groundwater monitoring, soil sampling, vapor sampling, and drilling oversight.
- Collect, label, and document samples in accordance with project procedures and regulatory guidance.
- Maintain complete and accurate field notes, logs, photographs, and chain‑of‑custody documentation.
- Perform data entry, organize field data, and assist with preparing tables, figures, and basic report components.
- Follow site‑specific health and safety plans and participate in job hazard analyses.
- Communicate site conditions, schedule updates, and field observations to project managers and senior staff.
- Prepare and maintain field equipment, coolers, and sampling supplies; assist with sample shipping and logistics.
- Support project managers with coordination tasks and day‑to‑day project needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a closely related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and safety protocols.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel for basic data entry and documentation.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift/carry field equipment (up to approximately 40 lbs).
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to travel for fieldwork within Minnesota and Wisconsin.
- Ability to learn standard environmental field methods with on‑the‑job training.
- Ability to accurately record field observations, complete forms, and maintain organized documentation.
