Cake Decorator

Job Overview

Cub Phalen is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a full time cake decorator position! Cake Decorators provide quality bakery products that meet the customer needs, ensures customer satisfaction and a positive shopping experience.

• Prepare bakery products
• Stock, rotate and face bakery product
• Ensure adequate quantities of product and decorating supplies
• Perform clean up of department
• Assist with department merchandising as directed
• Assist with customer questions or requests

• Equipment operation (spatula, decorating tubes, airbrush, copy machine, cake projector, mixer, bakery rack)
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
• The position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service.
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
• Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be 18 years of age and older.

• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions
• Extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces
