The Receptionist provides administrative and clerical support at Rise’s Administrative Office. This position manages incoming calls and greets guests upon entrance to the office. The receptionist is a key role at the assigned site and interfaces with staff, members of the community, and persons served and their families.

- Build and maintain effective working relationships with site contacts including but not limited to senior leadership, the office manager, and administrative teams members
- Manage incoming phone calls, transferring calls and greeting guests upon entrance to the building
- Maintain daily schedule for common meeting rooms using MS Outlook Calendar
- Disseminate general information about Rise programs and services to callers and visitors
- Sort mail, interoffice deliveries and run postage as needed
- Assist with preparing materials for meetings and booking rooms as needed
- Order supplies for the office and keep office supplies regularly stocked
- Additional tasks or projects as assigned, which may include filing, organizing, light cleaning, bulk mailings, digital file management, etc.
- This position has the opportunity to support multiple administrative departments. Additional projects may be available based on areas of interest

Required Education, Experience, and other Qualifications
- At least one year of experience as a receptionist or similar role. Can include experience gained through internships and volunteerism.
- Effective multi-tasker in busy environments
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, One Drive, etc.)
- Maintain confidentiality
- Friendly demeanor
- Ability to sit and use a computer for up to 8 hours/day
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to engage a diverse population and react in a positive way to unpredictable situations
- Current, valid driver’s license
- A driving record that demonstrates safe, legal driving habits
- Compliance with Rule 11 and MVR background check required
- Previous experience practicing person-centered practices with people with disabilities or other barriers to employment
- This position primarily works on site during normal business hours, 8-10 hours per week. Can discuss if candidate would prefer a fixed or variable schedule. Would prefer a candidate who can schedule to work additional hours as needed.
- May require some travel to other Rise locations around the Twin Cities area
- Remote meetings take place over Microsoft Teams, and this is the primary platform for collaboration and communication across the organization.
