At Foundation Building Materials (FBM) our CDL Drivers are essential delivering materials safely, efficiently and with pride. Enjoy local routes, daily home time, competitive pay and a supportive culture built on safety and respect.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Operation – Safely operates company vehicles including up to 26 trucks in compliance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Deliver materials to customer project sites on time, providing excellent customer service.
  • Additional training such as Forklift and other specified equipment may be required.
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of the operation of a forklift and other equipment.
  • Delivery & Customer Service – Unload materials at delivery locations and verify deliveries against packing slips.
  • Ensure deliveries are handled professionally and courteously, always representing the company positively.
  • The ability to unload, protect, move and stage materials as specified by customer directive.
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials.
  • Safety – Adheres to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized warehouse environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Use proper lifting techniques.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing.
  • Communication – Must attend and participate in all required meetings in relation to material delivery and overall company operations.
  • Training Requirements – Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
  • Physical Job Requirements – Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation; frequent driving or sitting in a truck, forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day; occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 lbs and climb ladders carrying up to 50 lbs; push/pull carts over various distances and surfaces; some functions may be performed as a team;

    additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned; must be able to operate a forklift and other company vehicles and use miscellaneous tools and equipment including but not limited to dollies, flat carts and rock carts.
  • Miscellaneous – Support our values in Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Possess valid Class A or Class B CDL.
  • Minimum 1-year consistent commercial driving experience.
  • Works well in a team environment.

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

  • Base: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
  • Job Type: Full-Time
