Commercial Solar Superintendent

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Solar PV Superintendent to lead and work alongside a crew responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on commercial projects
. This role requires hands-on installation experience as well as strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage crews and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with all codes and standards.

• Supervise and work with installation crews on commercial solar projects
• Assemble and install solar PV systems on rooftops, ground mounts, and other structures
• Plan daily work activities, assign tasks, and ensure crew productivity
• Configure PV systems based on site conditions and client requirements
• Perform all phases of PV installation, from underground construction to grid interconnection
• Ensure all work meets local building codes, electrical standards, and safety regulations
• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and technical documents
• Troubleshoot installation issues and provide effective field solutions
• Enforce job site safety practices and quality standards

• Extensive knowledge of solar PV equipment and commercial installation practices
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring, equipment, and systems
• Proven commercial project foreman or supervisory experience (required)
• Ability to read and understand building plans and equipment manuals
• Proficient in using hand and power tools for PV installation
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Vocational or technical training preferred
• Previous solar PV or related electrical construction experience preferred
• Commercial solar or electrical construction supervision experience is required

• Ability to work at rooftop heights and elevated structures
• Ability to kneel, bend, crouch, and climb ladders for extended periods
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
