Commercial HVACR Service Technician

RSC Mechanical is looking to expand our team and is seeking Refrigeration Service Technicians. • Service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and self‑contained refrigeration systems
• Work on split systems, package units, heat pumps, condensing units, and controls
• Repair self‑contained cases, coolers, freezers, and ice machines
• Perform preventive and general maintenance
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues
• Handle refrigerants safely in compliance with EPA regulations
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and team members
• Complete digital work orders and required documentation
• Participate in on‑call rotation after training
• Travel locally as needed

• Experience and working knowledge of HVAC and commercial refrigeration preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to perform effectively in fast‑paced and high‑pressure environments
• Self‑starter capable of working independently and in a team setting
• Customer‑focused mindset with strong communication skills
• Technicians are expected to provide their own standard hand tools
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and digital work order systems
• Willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation after training and travel as needed

• Full‑time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with overtime as required

• Participation in an on‑call rotation following the training period. Must always be available and responsive during assigned on‑call shifts

• Work performed indoors and outdoors, with potential exposure to noise, dust, fumes, odors, gases, mechanical/electrical hazards, moving objects, sharp edges, and varying weather conditions
• Manual dexterity required
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, crouch, and occasionally climb stairs or ladders
• Visual acuity sufficient to read printed and electronic materials
• Ability to lift and/or exert force up to 50 pounds
• Frequent driving of motor vehicles

• EPA Universal Certification (required)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
