• Completion of an approved Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner program
• National certification

Professional clinical experience in a clinic setting is preferred. As a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner (NP), you are an essential member of our healthcare team specializing in women's health! You enjoy meeting new people and seeing regular patients as you greet them at our clinic. Providing patient-focused care, you always listen to their concerns. Keeping accurate notes, you obtain a complete medical history and perform a complete physical exam. You are always sure to record your findings accurately.

Our physicians rely on you to improve effectiveness by identifying patient care issues that must be addressed.

Collaborating with physicians, you help manage the acute and long-term medical needs of patients. You assist physicians in complex surgical cases. Your calm demeanor allows you to expertly manage medical and surgical emergencies. You also interpret and integrate data, and order laboratory studies, X‑rays, and other diagnostic procedures as indicated. With great attention to detail, you review lab and radiology results in consultation with the supervising physician.

You submit patient health care plans and goals for periodic review and evaluation by the physician. To accomplish each patient's treatment plan, you also provide prescriptions for medications. When you are on‑call, you handle call for pharmacy and assist the MD.

Using your excellent communication and people skills, you counsel patients and their families on health promotion, diagnosis, prognosis, and management options. You recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs. When it comes to medication and treatment instructions, you are sure to provide them in an easy-to-understand way. Our patients know that you can effectively educate them. You get great satisfaction from seeing patients heal and enjoy a better quality of life.
