School-Based Registered Nurse; RN - Fresno, California

Overview

A licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in school nursing is needed to provide coverage and support at an elementary school in Fresno, CA. This contract position will assist with student health services, including coverage during an RN absence and conducting Initial IEPs at the preschool level. This role is perfect for a nurse who is passionate about working in an educational setting and supporting the health and well-being of young students.

• Provide health services coverage during absence of the current school RN
• Support Initial Individualized Education Program (IEP) assessments at the preschool
• Monitor and manage student health conditions consistent with school nursing protocols
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation
• Assist in promoting a safe and healthy school environment

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
• California School Nurse Services Credential preferred; assistance to obtain credential available
• Ability to work onsite approximately 16 hours per week, ideally over 2 full days
• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Onsite position located in Fresno, CA at an elementary school
• Contract position beginning ASAP through June 4, 2026
