Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic for a temporary position on the 1st shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including weekends, with potential extension beyond 2 months. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for industrial equipment repairs and diagnosing and repairing problems with equipment such as conveyors, packaging lines, mixers, blenders, and pumps.

Additionally, this role involves working on improvement projects and performing building or facilities maintenance to prepare for an upcoming audit.

• Conduct industrial equipment repairs, including conveyors, packaging lines, mixers, blenders, and pumps.
• Assist with building and facilities maintenance for audit preparation.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure product quality and safety.
• Document downtime, spare parts, and preventative maintenance performed daily.
• Troubleshoot basic PLC systems and diagnose wiring issues with sensors.
• Work extensively with bottle-filling machinery, inspect and repair bottle-filling equipment.
• Use root-cause analysis to diagnose and resolve issues promptly.
• Routinely disassemble pumps, replace seal kits, reassemble, and test pumps.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot pump mechanical issues.

• Experience with pump rebuilding and troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with PLC systems and diagnosing wiring issues.
• Experience in building maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and motors.

• Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred.
• Familiarity with a GMP environment is beneficial.
• Experience with bottle-filling equipment is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FRESNO, CA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
