Compensation Range: $24.00-$31.00 (Compensation is determined by a combination of an individual’s relevant work experience and educational requirements.)
Business Need / Purpose of RoleThe Production Control Coordinator supports manufacturing performance by ensuring accurate production data, timely material availability, and real-time visibility of shop floor execution. This role is critical to maintaining schedule adherence, inventory accuracy, and on-time customer delivery by coordinating material flow, maintaining ERP transactional integrity, and enabling effective decision-making across operations. Serving as a key liaison between planning and production, this position helps minimize disruptions, improve labor efficiency, and support reliable customer fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities and Specific Accountabilities- Coordinate and sequence material flow across multiple work centers to support production schedules and capacity requirements
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all production and inventory transactions within the ERP system
- Identify, escalate, and support resolution of material shortages, substitutions, and production interruptions
- Maintain alignment between physical inventory, system records, and production status through routine validation and reconciliation
- Monitor real-time production execution and analyze performance against schedule, labor, and work-in-process (WIP) targets
- Develop, maintain, and distribute production reports and dashboards to provide operational visibility and decision support
- Interpret and utilize engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and work instructions to support accurate execution
- Serve as a primary coordination point between production, planning, purchasing, quality, and warehouse teams
- Support purchasing and receiving activities by addressing late deliveries, shortages, and material discrepancies
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to material flow, data accuracy, scheduling, and ERP processes
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Associate’s degree or technical coursework in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience (required)
- Two to three (2–3) years of experience in production control, materials management, manufacturing coordination, or supply chain operations (required)
- One to two (1–2) years of hands-on experience with production reporting and data analysis tools, including ERP platforms, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel
- Up to one to two (1–2) years of experience or practical exposure to ERP-driven manufacturing operations, including material tracking through ERP or warehouse management systems
- One to two (1–2) years of experience prioritizing work in a manufacturing or operations environment, including managing competing production, reporting, or material-related tasks
- One to two (1–2) years of experience communicating effectively with production, engineering, or operations teams to support daily workflows and problem-solving
The noise level in the work environment varies. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection, may be required.
