Job DescriptionSummary:
The EPC Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of utility-scale solar projects, including planning, budgeting, buyout, project controls, scheduling, and risk management. The role requires providing leadership and technical expertise to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage large labor crews in partnership with the superintendent team, overseeing project execution, sequencing, and productivity goals.
- Develop and implement safety plans and procedures.
- Oversee project billing, cash flow, and receivables collection.
- Negotiate change orders, subcontractor bids, and material purchases.
- Ensure project stays on schedule and within budget, providing accurate reporting.
- Manage and mentor project team members, fostering professional growth.
- Ensure contract compliance and document significant project events.
- Coordinate preconstruction activities, risk management, and quality control.
- Develop relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Handle logistics, procurement, and manpower planning, including extensive travel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture preferred.
- 5-8 years of field construction management experience, including supervisory roles.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, CMiC, and project management systems.
- Knowledge of utility-scale PV plant construction, interconnection processes, and project controls.
- Ability to travel extensively, including remote locations.
- Accurate scheduling and proposal development.
- Timely resolution of claims and impacts.
- Development of scheduling expertise within the team.
