Collections Associate Attorney - Quall Cardot LLP (Fresno)

Quall Cardot is looking to add a highly competent and detail-oriented Collections Associate Attorney to its growing legal team and creditor’s rights practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a new attorney looking to gain significant experience in civil litigation— from the initial stages of the collections process through post-judgment remedies. There will be opportunities to gain experience in written discovery, attorney negotiations, direct client interaction, conducting depositions and trying cases throughout California.

Our Collections Division provides collections services to large publicly and privately held financial institutions with significant volume in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Trial Litigation (reviewing demand letters, complaints, dispositive motions, requests for default judgment)
• Pre-Trial Negotiation (interfacing with opposing counsel, clients in contested litigation)
• Trial Support (preparation for and attendance at trial(s))
• Work closely with legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys in collaborative environment

Requirements

• JD with strong academic record
• Licensed to practice law in California
• 0-1 years of legal experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proven ability to organize, prioritize and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional environment
• Courtroom experience helpful but not required
• Profit Sharing Plan up to 5%
