Legal Secretary

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Legal Secretary to join our client's dynamic legal team.

• Assisting in the preparation of civil litigation documents, coordinating with clients, and supporting the legal team in early case stages.
• Preparing and processing legal documents and papers, such as summonses, subpoenas, complaints, appeals, motions, and pretrial agreements.
• Organizing and maintaining documents in a paper or electronic filing system.
• Meeting with clients, attorneys, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
• Scheduling and confirming appointments, hearings, and meetings.
• Conducting research to support a legal proceeding, to formulate a defense, or to initiate legal action.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent; legal secretary certification or associate degree in legal studies preferred.
• Experience:
  
  3+ years of experience in the specified legal field (Workers  Compensation or Pre-Litigation).
• Skills:
  
  Proficiency in legal terminology and practices; excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills; strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; proficient in MS Office and legal software.
