Position Summary

Monitors, tracks, communicates, and follows up on employee Leave of Absence. Advises and consults with supervisors on Employee Relations, conducts investigations, and assists with DHR initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Direct wellness activities with the HR Coordinator to support the Adjoin Wellness Program.
  • Execute HR Quality Assurance activities as identified by the HR Director.
  • Carry out HR projects to improve department and organization operations.
  • Assist with HRIS administration and the implementation of the Employee Recognition Program.
  • Support payroll with best practices for compliance with CA Wage and Hour laws.
  • Create, implement, and promote the Adjoin Wellness Program and oversee the DMV Pull Program, including enrollments, audits, and reviews.
  • Collaborate on annual reporting, updates, recruitment, and onboarding with the HR Coordinator.
  • Serve as Benefits Administrator, managing employee benefit enrollments and ensuring compliance.
  • Promote, exemplify, and teach Adjoin’s code of ethics and values.
  • Recommend new programs, processes, or initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
  • Conduct training for employees and managers on safety and HR topics.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation on policies and procedures.
  • Administer performance management and assist managers with performance issues.
  • Act as Safety Administrator, overseeing the Adjoin Safety Program and ensuring compliance.
  • Create standardized process maps for HR systems and processes.
Qualifications
  • 18 years or older with at least three years of experience in Human Resources, benefits, recruiting, or a similar role that requires strict confidentiality and collaboration.
  • Experience with HRIS administration and a successful pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Sociology, Organizational Leadership, or a related field, or an HR Certificate, SHRM, or HRCI certification.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy (MS Office) and capability to maintain well‑organized records and files.
  • Ability to travel within the county where services are provided a minimum of 25% of the time, and within the state as needed.
  • Proficiency in applying California employment laws, HR best practices, OSHA compliance, and leave administration.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, multitasking, time‑management, and performance under pressure skills.
  • Physical evaluation may be required, including TB test and/or lift and transfer assessment.
