Intake Coordinator

Overview

We are currently seeking to fill the Intake Coordinator position. Scheduled work hours will be 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

• Email marketing team regarding referrals received.
• Verify patient's insurance and add to the batch.
• Screen patients using medical knowledge.
• Schedule Start of Care (SOC) for patients using appropriate clinicians for specific areas.
• Verify demographics, verify following physician, verify additional contacts.
• Enter all information into the EMR system.
• Check all fax lines for incoming referrals.

• Medical office background required.
• Compensation (negotiable, based on experience, etc).
• Opportunity to accumulate overtime.
• LVN license desired but not required; medical experience is a plus.
• Medical Terminology Required.
• Understanding of normal aging and health care for older adults.
• Competency in client needs evaluation and meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of client and employee satisfaction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior customer service and/or sales experience is a plus.
• Strong commitment to providing the highest quality care and customer service.
• Excellent communication and listening skills, particularly via the phone.
• Proven track record of managing processes with strong attention to detail.
• Sensitivity to client needs with the ability to express patience and compassion.
• Positive, “can-do” attitude.
• Confidence and creative problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and availability for schedules to include hours outside of standard work week, possible weekend hours.
• Medical knowledge is preferred.
